March 2012 – current | Harris Corporation: IT Operations Manager NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N-NC)

Senior leadership role within the Program Management Office (PMO) on the IT Service Management (N2ITSM) program.  Currently manage critical and core business services operations and staff, including Service Desk, Cyber Security team, Network Operations Center (NOC), System Administration, Network team, Video Teleconference (VTC), and N-NC Command Center (N2C2).  Also, manage remote IT staff at US Embassies and other locations supporting NORAD and USNORTHCOM interests.

·               Key technical trusted agent for the customer: currently provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level support to the customer for infrastructure, processes, escalation/incident management, cyber security and IA activities, and critical business systems COOP/DR, along with systems engineering architecture activities

Daily tasks include briefing senior leadership on IA operations, security events, known vulnerability vectors and current alerts, along with logical mitigation options. Currently manage efforts to thwart both inside and outside threats to national security mission systems and critical business services for the Command.

·               Supported web code configuration changes and conducted penetration testing

November 2009 – July 2011 | Harris Corporation: System Administrator III

Designed, implemented, tested, and migrated a complex Harris CMDB solution.  This CMDB was an autonomous domain with high integrity and availability requirements.  Created Governance doctrine to include numerous user and use policies, as well as system architecture and best practice procedures for proper cyber hygiene. 

Supported US Southern Command Headquarters (USSOUTHCOM) actives in Miami, FL.  Provided direct IA services for configuring, testing, patch and vulnerability remediation management.  Directly contributed to successful CCRI inspection and authority to operate (ATO) to be granted for the command to operate NIPR and SIPR.

 

July 2007 – November 2009 | Harris Corporation (previously Multimax): Config Management III

Engineered and implemented a new JITC PBX1 IA control compliant enterprise VOIP network, for the NAVSEA HQ command in Washington, DC.  This allowed multiple NAVSEA networks to reside together with 4,000 VOIP phones, and let this network obtain ATO. Supported USSOUTHCOM Joint Task Force Bravo (JTFB) C4S actives in Honduras, C.A.; upgraded and installed new Network Management Solution (NMS) for both NIPR and SIPR networks.

 

June 2003 – July 2007 | Multimax, Inc. (previously Netcogov, previously Wam!Net): Network Engineer II/III

Created DOD approved network configuration bundles for classified and unclassified network devices on the NMCI.  Utilized established best practices to develop configuration and IA hardening templates and design documentation. Performed and participated in technical design and device configuration reviews. Supported over 30,000 Navy and Marine personnel on secure, normal, and legacy networks including (SIPR/NIPR) for the NMCI.

 

July 2002 - December 2002 | Information Systems Support Bethesda, MD: Field Engineer II

Supported the School for National Security Executive Education, the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies, and the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies.  Provided direct support for over 150 United States and international executive government officials from around the world.

Extensive work maintaining USCG and other DOD unclass/class networks and devices, including electronics, telephone systems, telecommunications, and data/voice circuits.
